illnesses.
Belo Horizonte - Starting point for cultural excurssions in historical cities of
the interior of Minas Gerais, Belo Horizonte, the capital, has an intense night life with many theatres, cinemas and night clubs. During the

Congonhas - In this city, 78 baroque sculptures can be found, 66 of them
representing the "Passion of Christ" and 12 statues of "The 12 Prophets", that make up one of the most important collection
of Baroque art in the world. The Basílica do Bom Jesus de Matosinhos is considered a World Monument and World Heritage by Unesco.
Mariana - Recorded by the Iphan as a National Monument since 1945, Mariana
has several grand churches that still attract pilgrims and tourists from all over the world. There are several mines open to the public, that
were used for the extraction of gold since the colonial period.
