of Baroque art in the world. The Basílica do Bom Jesus de Matosinhos is considered a World Monument and World Heritage by Unesco.
Mariana - Recorded by the Iphan as a National Monument since 1945, Mariana
has several grand churches that still attract pilgrims and tourists from all over the world. There are several mines open to the public, that
were used for the extraction of gold since the colonial period.
